The boys from Scouts BSA Troop 656 have been busy this summer! The troop has always been busy doing service projects for the community and earning merit badges to move themselves up the ranks toward Eagle Scout. However, this summer they added some fun activities.  Seven scouts kicked off the summer by taking a canoe trip down the Crow Wing river. These scouts canoed 15 miles down the river. When July came, eight scouts chose to go on a 24-mile bike ride. It was a great way to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather while getting a bit of exercise. To celebrate the wonderful achievement, the group indulged in some ice cream afterwards.
An annual highlight is attending Boy Scout summer camp and this year was no different. Eight scouts attended Camp Many Point near Ponsford, MN.
