As you know, winter is a slippery time. Some winters seem to be more or less slippery. This year seems to be more slippery, according to the Hawley Herald Weather Bureau. One of the reasons it gets so slippery is the nearly daily snowfall. Snow and intersections act like WD-40 on a squeaky wheel. The Hawley Police Department reminds people to drive DEFENSIVELY in town. Intersections can go from fine to “unstopable” in minutes. Cars driving slowly near intersections can slide through to watch what the other driver is doing as well.
