County Commissioners Cut the Ribbon

The New Law Enforcement Center is now up and running.

It wasn’t part of the master design, but the street address for the new joint law enforcement center (LEC) is 911. On the sunny morning of Tuesday, July 24, Clay County Commissioners cut the ribbon on a new LEC that will house the Clay County Sheriff’s Department Moorhead Police Department, as well as provide space for the Minnesota Highway Patrol.
The new $15 million LEC replaces a 52-year old facility that was no longer meeting the minimum standards, was too small for current staff, and did not meet the changing needs of law enforcement in a steadily growing county.
